Integration and Application of Knowledge in Civic, Social and Personal Context
Your education at AMES is designed to help you think about your learning in “real world” contexts outside of school---in your civic responsibilities, social relationships, and personal life. For instance, how has your knowledge of the logic of argument informed how you interact with those outside of AMES? Or, how has your ability to communicate effectively changed how you communicate at work, at home, or in public?
Select one or more pieces of writing or a project you completed to serve as evidence of your learning in the area of “Integration and application of knowledge in civic, social and personal contexts.” Include with the artifact(s) a written explanation of how your evidence demonstrates your knowledge of and ability to integrate and apply the knowledge you’ve gained at AMES in civic, social and personal contexts.
Ideas for artifacts: Papers you’ve written for classes, PowerPoint presentations you created and presented, other presentations, evaluations, certificates, etc. For this DRSL, you may just need to write an explanation of how you took an idea you learned at AMES and used it outside of AMES.
