Able to communicate clearly in writing, effectively integrating the six basic traits of excellent writing:  strong organization, well-developed ideas, appropriate voice, sentence fluency, interesting and appropriate word choice, and standard writing conventions.

AND 

 Able to communicate clearly in work groups, classroom discussions, and presentations by demonstrating active listening, appropriate tone and body language, strong support for ideas, and effective visual accompaniments. 

Select one or more pieces of writing or a project you completed to serve as evidence of your learning in the area of effective communication.  Include with the artifact(s) a written explanation of how your evidence demonstrates your knowledge of and ability in the area of effective communication.

Ideas for artifacts:  Papers you have written for classes, PowerPoint presentations you created and presented, other presentations, evaluations, certificates, etc.
